Installing a DEI shock sensor and I'm just curious how long the factory alarm will honk the horn/flash the lights when it is set off? 30sec/60sec? Longer? Work near an AFB and even though I'm turning down the sensitivity of the sensor, I don't want to return to a car with a dead battery .
Easier to install than a CLB! The pictures he lists doesn't appear to have a wire where the sensor wire would go, but mine did, a blue one. Funny, the wire off the DEI sensor is also blue!
This pin to the BCM is actually the Tonneau ajar input! I'm guessing the coupes and the FRCs don't have the BCM programmed to flash tonneau ajar, but every bump in the road this morning on the way to work, there it was! So, I have to either find a 12V or a ground that is only on when ignition is off, or put in a toggle switch . Quite annoying having the DIC flash back & forth....

If I remeber correct the manual says, it will sound off for 2 minutes straight and then if the key is not used, or alarm turned off by the fob, then it shuts down your ignition and fuel systems as a safety feature against theft.
I could turn off the alarm with the fob on my 98 coupe. In my 02 Z06 if the alarm goes off, I can NOT reset it with the FOB!!! I have to let it sould for the eternity that it takes for it to time out or RUN out to the car, unlock the door, insert the key into the ignition and cycle the ignition on and off!

Anybody else have that same issue?

Yep, I've noticed the exact same thing in my '02 coupe and a buddy's '02 Z06.
