Engine hot after I rinsed off engine??

Engine hot after I rinsed off engine??
I rinsed off my engine today and after doing so I drove the car around and noticed now it likes to get to 240 degrees and stay there.. I checked for any items stuck in the radiator area and even rinsed it down to make sure there wasnt any dirt. Still gets hot even in the driveway. Any ideas?

Engine was cool for the most part when I did this. I also got out the air hose and blew off the A/C condensor and radiator and still in the driveway at idle the car does not like to go below 239 degrees with the the fans on. I am going to change the t-stat next...

it will decrease at highway speed, i did notice that the hose going to the t-stat side is MUCH cooler and actually not hot at all while the car is hot.

update: looks like it was a bad t-stat afterall. as soon as i touched the t-stat hose and it wasnt hot i pretty much knew that was were i needed to focus.... it works and cools nicely now! thanks for the replies guys!!
