Threw a code for my Reverse Solenoid. I have to basically push over hard as hell to the right and then up to get it to go into reverse. SKip Shift is no longer working either I guess because of this.
How big a deal is this to fix? I no longer have my warranty so I'm hoping it's not to expensive if I cant do it myself. Any ideas or help I'd appreciate it
How do I know what fuse it is to replace? I called my Chevy Dealer Parts department and there telling me they dont know and I should take it in for service to get it fixed
Just to bring it in is $100. I dont want to pay that if all it is is a fuse. Would you happen to know which one and how I can find out the part number for it?

I didn't even know that there was a solenoid involved with shifting into reverse. What does this solenoid do??
Locks out Reverse so you don't hit "7th / R" instead of 5th doing 85 mph on your local back road or highway of choice. Just think of it as error-proofing.
