Default Ported Ls1 Heads

I found this on another thread and was curious if any of you guys know what he means by 806 cast perimitor bolt?

What gaines could you se from these?

Anyone want ported LS 1 heads 806 cast perimitor bolt

$425 shipped to your door OBO

I also live about 30 minutes from the place these are available, so I am not seeing $425/shipped, I am seeing less spent, because I wouldn't need to pay for shipping.

Just curious? BTW, I am not buying anything, just curious.

perimeter bolt are 97/98 model year heads...really need more info, to know if they have any value. Anyone can take a grinder to heads and call them ported.Patriot sells the older ls1 heads ported and fully assembled for $900. A link would be helpful...

I can't imagine how you are going to get quality for $425. The cores are $250 or so + valve train is another couple hundred by itself.

Expect to spend $950-1200 for a nice set of LS1 heads.

Thanks for the information...I thought this seemed odd, so I wanted to ask my tech pros the questions. I have a 2000 anyway, so I am not risking anything.

With a 2000, even if it was a quality head, you would have to buy valve covers and coil mounts for the different style heads, so you probably would end up spending quite a bit more than $425

Thanks, I am not buying them, so no worries, I will just keep saving and get some AFRs or a set of ported and polished LS6 heads.
