How much lower then stock can you go on the stock bolts? Also, how much lower can you go if you buy the aftermarket lowering bolts? Thanks for your help
Longer bolts are only for dropping the rear. In most cases, you can't go all the way down with the longer bolts without being lower than the front. If you need to go that low, you must remove your front bolts. If you want to go even lower, go with coil-overs. Dont forget that you must also go with different shocks such as Bilstein Sports wich are designed for vettes with lowered suspensions. If you dont, you may bottom out your shocks.
Do you have to change your shocks if you just lower the vette on the stock bolts? Thanks for the info.
Well?
I've stuck with the 4X4 look for now. I have the standard suspension, and feel like I scrape on enough things as it is. I don't want to have to carefully creep around with the car. I want to drive it like I stole it.
Just food for thought. You can get a set of Bilstein sports for around 300 shipped all day... Not much to pay for the peace of mind and performance improvemnt. If you don't have the F45 the install is not too bad at all. I just did mine last weekend and it took about 6 hours total since this was my first time.

I'm lowered on stock bolts and though it looks a lot lower and better, my driving style hasn't really changed much. Doesn't really scrape any more than it did before, you just have to be a little more aware when entering driveways and such, and be alert for junk in the road. I cracked my front spoiler hitting debris in the road when the car height was stock. And no, you don't have to change the shocks.
