oil pressure!!!!

quick question. driving around today, my oil pressure guage just pegged out a@ 80 psi and my comp readout shows the pressure @130 psi. has anyone had this before or does anyone know what is going on? car runs fine though. no problems. thanks in advance.

thanks for the post. would you know exactly what to look into as far as location of sending unit and price? i am new to the C5 realm, coming off of C4's. thanx again for the replies.
