Default Active handling warming up... after balancer install

Well i am getting an error with my active handling....

is there a way to reset the system?

I think the error might have been when i disconnected the rack from the steering system.... my steering wheel might be 360degreess off now (if thats possible). I did the job alone.... and seeing as i have the steering lock bypass... the wheel was hard to keep from not moving.

EDIT: I just checked for codes and i have TCS: C1241 Magna streer malfuction (whatever that means)... i reset it, but its havent driven it after.

Seems like I'm following you around here!!

STOP!!!

Do *not* drive the car..

Yes, you more than likely (and yes it does mention this in the LS1howto instructions) did rotate the steering wheel in relation to its original position..

These cars have steering wheel position sensors (even on cars w/o active handling), and it's in the wrong position..

But that's not why I'm posting the "do not drive the car" comment.. It's because, depending on how many turns off it is, you run the risk of breaking the air bag wiring by turning it too far in one direction.

So to fix this, you have two choices..

Do it "right", i.e. put a DVM on the pinout for the analog output of the steering wheel position sensor (the connector is in the battery compartment area). It should read 2.5v when the steering wheel is straight ahead, in the middle of its rotation. Then unhook the steering rack / steering shaft, rotate the steering wheel in the proper direction, etc.

The other method suggests you make an "educated guess" as too which direction to go, unhook, rotate, drive the car, check for the code.
Problem with this method is you increase the chance of damaging the air bag wiring if you pick the wrong direction..

Ahh makes sense.....

put a DVM on the pinout for the analog output of the steering wheel position sensor (the connector is in the battery compartment area).

Where is this connector exactly? any specific color?

I have a DMM so i can check the voltage and insure its 2.5.... i hope thats all my problem is.
