Need to replace the ac tensioner pulley on the bottom. There is one bolt holding it on, with what looks like a pipe almost over the bolt. So I have a few questions:
1) What is the size of the bolt
2) How do get a torque wrench on it
3) How mcuh torque
4) How do I get to it ..top or bottom
5) How to I get to the bolt?
Yes, you can do it. I assume you have an A4, because the Mn6 do not have these pipes over the bolt. The size is 15mm.
There is a small black clip that is holding the two pipes together, simply remove this and you can spread the pipes apart to get the socket in between them and on the bolt. Best of luck!
I just replaced mine 2 days ago although my car is an M6. It was pretty simple. Let the belt lay there but leave it on the rest of the pulleys as that can be a pain to get back on. Unbolt the tensioner and bolt the new one on then put the belt on.
