I have 35K on the C5 and the last time I looked, the inner pads on both fronts were quite thin. Want to get the most out of them but do not want to go to long. Seems there is no wear indicator on the inside pads, is it there? The outers still have pad left. What do most of you do, replace before any indication or ride it out till they are totally worn?

Besides visually inspecting the pads and comparing them to the meat on new ones...
I do believe there is a pin which looks like a retainer clip... once the pad is worn down, the pin should make contact with the rotor and cause a squeal.

Ride it out and you will need them at the most inopportune time and probably need rotors also. I would not run them less than .20" of material left.

I hear nothing at this point....I am going to change out next week just in case.

FWIW, I'm fairly confident that the stock pads do have wear indicators, but as they'll be on the trailing edge on the inside, it's not always that easy to see. Still, it only takes a couple of minutes to jack up the car and pull the wheel off to properly inspect them.
As John says, don't wait until you hear the noise, as you'll be replacing more than pads at that point. Pads last as long as pads last. You'll have to look yourself to see how yours are doing.
