Default Freaky problem

Hey

I have an 03 vert and a few months ago I started it and the entire cluster of idiot lights went on and the right window would not work. I turned the car off restarted it and all was fine. Someone told be that the computer just had a brain fart. Same thing happened again today and turned it off and it is fine again anyone have a similar experience or any ideas

Thanks frank

Here's an idea....check the tightness of your battery cables.

Also, check all the connectors (for snug-ness) into the BCM under the passenger floor mat.

good hunting

while you are there- make sure your battery is not leaking down into the compartment below...that is where the computer lives...

C5's do have brain (communications) farts but most of the time it can be traced to a fault. seeing that you have an 03, I will try to stay away from corroded grounds. I will how ever, recommend that you clean and tighten your battery terminals. Loose battery terminals will have some weird effects on your car!

The other thing is a low / weak battery! If the battery is discharged due to sitting for a while or run down when you listen to the stereo while you wax the car it can cause critical modules like the BCM to malfunction and light all that stuff up!!!

If the BCM get wet or Damp, it can have the same effect! The dash will light up like a Christmas Tree!!!

The BCM lives in the pasengers foot well behind the toe board. It is the big shinney box next to the fuse box.
