Good morning all,I want to change plug wires and plugs next week,I would like a good set of wires for my daily driver. What kind of wires are the best and where can I get them?I would like to get some red ones to match my covers,
Thanks
What color are the covers? The GM red wires are fine, your stock wires are also fine. They are so short, that changing them, unless they are broken, is a waste of money IMHO
I put on a set of blue ones from Mid America ($39.99 for the set or about there). It is their brand. I think they have them in red as well. Work fine, fit was good.
Thanks alot,it's got 78k on the ticker thought it might be time, stills runs good but I don't know when the plugs were changed.Just wanted to dress it up a little.

Taylor Thudervolts you can purchase them from thunderracing.com. I would also suggest you get a set of NGK TR55's gap should be .55

I opinion of MSD is they are JUNK. You can't tell if the snap on or not the boots on mine near the plugs looked like a bomb went off and left a crater. My stock wires had 50,000 miles and were great. I got some better wires from LGM which are nice. Anything but MSD IMHO

I agree.
js1999: Do yourself a favor and remove the coil bracket (with coils still installed in it) on the driver's side. Just a few bolts and one central plug for the electrical connection (of course plug wires too) and it's off. You will be veeery grateful for the additional room you'll have on #7.
You can thank me later!
I haven't changed the wires on the Vette but I've had the MSD Superconductors on my Av for almost three years now and they have been great. You can hardly tell the 5.3 is idling...it's much smoother than the 5.7.
