with my cruise on and set at say 56 I hit the little switch to kick it up a few mph .....you can watch this on the DIC display....my car started skipping numbers....right now I can't set it at 59mph or 63, I'm sure there are other's missing also but I haven't checked all up and down the spectrum.......any ideas? I was thinking my BCM may be going out. Also my horn went on the blink a few minths ago and I had to pull the fuse.....I'm thinking the two issues may be related in some way....
Hello all,
I have an 02' z06 and have the same problem as described above. mine would skip 59 initially. The car could be set to 60, the decel button hit once DIC would drop to 58 and feel a decel, hit again and DIC would say 58 again but I could feel a decel, hit again and DIC would say 57 and feel a decel. I disengaged cruise then set to 65 and it would skip 64 as described above. Not sure if it's an actual issue but checking to see if it is a precursor to another problem or if it's just a quirk you live with.
Thanks,
BG
Some cruise control systems have up to 5 MPH increments. Is that the case with our cars; dunno. But it is one possibility. Check the owners manual, it might say...
Edit, checked; it should do about 1 MPH increments:
ANY LOGIC ISSUES in the Cruise Control Circuit will deal with the THROTTLE ACTUATOR CONTROL MODULE (TAC MODULE) That's where the CRUISE CONTROL functions live.
I seriously DOUBT that the Horn has anything to do with the anything else. There are several HORN issues and ONE that comes to mind right off the bat is the HORN BLADDER under the AIR BAG COVER. It commonly goes bad. There are replacement bladders now!
