Safe Oil Temperature for hard driving??????

Safe Oil Temperature for hard driving??????
Just wondering...I normally wait till about 170+ before pushing the engine..Any thoughts on this? Just put a forged/stroked gem together, and want it to last a very long time..

I aim for 150 before I go out for my first warmup lap. By the time that one's finished I'm up above 180. Don't forget that just because you've got the engine up to temp doesn't mean the tranny and diff are warmed up also. So, build up to it before you drop the loudness pedal to it's "default" position.
