so somethign snapped underneath my clutch and it looks to be the clutch return spring, the clutch still works but i dont know how this will effect it and how long i can drive the car in its condition...... what should i do. the nearest chevy dealer is like a hour + away.
If the spring fell in the floorboard,it is a helper spring. It works better without it. A lot of us Vette owners removed them.
i pulled mine out as soon as i got the car. i also have a friend with the sticking clutch pedal problem and i pulled his spring out and he has not had the problem since.

what does this spring look like? The only one i saw was a double coil spring about half way up the pedal.. looks like a return spring more than a helper spring. Does anyone have pics of it? the search feature is disabled right now
How does the clutch pedal feel after the spring has been remobved /
I am considering removing the clutch pedal spring as well. To you guys who have done the mod, how do the pedal rest when not in use, i.e does it have some play or does it stay up firmly like before ?
Thanks,
JM

mine feels like it has about a 1/2" of travel without it, ofcoarse my hydraulics are all messed up too so that could be the culprit. I like the mod myself.
