Your radio may need attention before you disconnect the battery. Read this Tech Tip. It worked for me

When I swapped batteries recently, the radio TheftLock activated.

That took some screwing around to get correct!!

If the TheftLock comes on and you don't know the code, let me know and I'll post the procedure or send it to you.

I've got an 04 Coupe, I recently needed a battery for my truck so I took the one out of the vette put it in the truck and bought a new Red Top for my vette. The 04 come with top posts I bought the model with both side post and top post and connected the side post to the harness for my battery tender. While I had the battery out I put in a new polished aluminum battery holder that has the chevy bowtie on the top, it didn't fit and it took a couple of hours of customization on the new bracket to get it to fit, all toll, the battery was out for 4 or 5 hours. I didn't have to reset anything and I took no special precautions ahead of time.

Hmmm, wonder what kept the clock working?

Thanks for the reply
