I just did a Z06 suspension, tranny, and rear end swap into my 2000 frc. I am now getting some wheel hop. My question is should I set my alignment specs to the factory 2000 frc or the 2004 Z06?(.0deg. neg. camber vs. .5deg) I have it set at about .3deg neg camber right now. I would like to get rid of the wheel hop. Right now I most straight line race but looking to add road courses in the future. Any suggestions?
I just had an alignment done on my car with -1.0 camber on all 4 wheels. The alignment shop told me that the best set up for track/auto X is -.5 to -1.5. With that said, I never had a wheel hop with my set up. Maybe it's aggressive set up for some but I like it. Also post this tread on General Corvettes Autocrossing section and you'll get more answer from the experience driver.

If you street your car you'll need to worry about wearing out the tires too soon. I had mine set to front: max caster, -1.2 camber, 0 toe
rear: -0.7 camber, 1/8" toe in
If in doubt ask them to set it up to the Z06 specs but you'll have problems until you get rid of the runflats. The sidewalls are too stiff and the tires will wear out very quickly and be somewhat unforgiving. The Z06 spec are for non-runflat setups.
Thx for all the info. I think I will set it up with the 04 Z06 specs and see if there is any difference. If that dosent cure some of the wheel hop I will try the 00 spec. and maybe end up some where in the middle.

More food for thought. If your wheel hop happens in the straight line reduce your tire pressure. The Z06 suspension is much stiffer. If it's in the corners that you feel the wheel hop, try what I did and raise the tire pressure 3 psi to stiffen the sidewalls of the tires. On the 1/4 mile I would run 15 psi and road course I run 40 psi hot(37 cold).

This is if you also street drive your car.
Straight road track set up is as much neg camber as your tires can handle.
Hoosiers, Toyo's and really and DOT R compound or true road slick loves negative camber.
I run
-3.5* camber
6* caster, not max but close an equal on both sides
1/16 toe out
in the rear
-2.5* camber
1/8 toe in
Tires are Hoosier VRLs with 30 psi front and 29 psi rear cold. Gives me about 36-35 HOT. I find 40 psi HOT is too greasie for me.
Even -1.5* is fine for street use and track time.
