Appears to be on the driver's side only. None of the door switches work on the driver's side. The memory function is also out. I checked both fuse boxes and everything appears/tested to be fine. The other day the car gauges freaked out and all lit up showing all the signs, "reduced power, service (all items), etc. I drove the car today and that did not happen again but all the power appears to be gone from the driver's side door. I can roll the pass window down from the passenger side. Both sides work for the seat adjustments. I guess when I get home tomorrow I will pull the door panel and see if the plug came loose but other than that I'm not sure. Any ideas? Did I miss another fuse box? It has to be the plug if it is only on one side right? Thanks!

That could be caused by a poor connection or a short in the rubber boot you see between the door and the body. Pull the boot and open each of the wiring harness. Check that the wires and connectors and make sure they are clean. A wire in that area can also cause reduce engine power. It could affect the door as well. Gauges freak out could be caused by a shaft wire under the driver seat. Ok, that was my 2 cents before the expert respond. For sure, the other part will be to check for DTCs and the grounds.

with vette747!

I had the exact came problem while I was at Carlisle PA this summer and it was pouring rain!!! Lucky for me it failed in the UP positon. I did all the easy troubleshooting that you did but to no avail!

Not willing to give up and give in, I decided to dig deep into C5 door theory!

I have been to the Corvette assembly plant at Bowling Green many times! Watching them assemble the doors to the car is a work of art! It happens so effortlessly for them. You have to appreciate it if you have ever tried to hang a door! Anyway,,,,when they bring in the doors, you cant miss the big orange bundle of wires that hang off the door like a hand full of snakes. Watching them feed them through the body hole and hook them up lets you understand how everything works.

If you pull the door panel off and check all of the connectors and find them to be in good condition, follow the main bundle of wires towards the front of the door and you will see it exit through the accordian tube abd into the body. There have been quite a few Forum members who have had loose (me included) door harness connectors. The connectors are not in the door. They are in the area behind the lever that you use to pop the hood open! I wiggled the wiring harness and BINGO, everything started to work again.

Look for loose connectors, burnt pins, pins that fit together poorly, ect ect.

Thanks for the replies! Will do so. I think this is very possibly the case as I have had the panels off, as well as the seats out, a couple of months ago. I'll let ya'll know what I find out. Thanks again, Jason.

Hit a big bump on the way to work this morning. Got it again, all the bells and whistles went off, including gas gauge, etc. Turned the car off and then back on and it seemed to reset everything, except the driver's side window switches. I'll still pull the door panel when I get home to check for plug connections.
