Default Foglights.. Prewired?

Hi guys,
I have an opportunity to buy some factory foglights and the switch. Has anyone equipped their car with factory foglights (that didn't come with them originally)? Is the car pre-wired for foglight installation? I know these don't work well as lights, they'd just be an appearance enhancer! Thanks!

I believe I've read that the wiring is there already, but hopefully someone more knowledgable will chime in soon.

I installed the PIAA 1100x driving lights which are a direct replacement for the factory fog lights. I have a Z06 which doesn't come with fog lights. I purchased the lights from litewarehouse.com who also makes mounting brackets for cars that didn't originally have fogs. By following the tech tip in the forum the install was very easy. The interesting part is that all the wiring from the dash to the fuse block, including the relay and fuses is already installed from the factory. The only other part you need is the factory foglight switch and your lights will work like a OEM installation. You don't need to use an aftermarket switch.

BTW, the PIAA lights are far superior to the factory fogs and actually exceed low beam headlight output.

Just did it on my coupe. You'll need to make a wiring harness from the connector on the back of the fuse block to the lights. You'll need to buy two connectors for the bulb ends and a terminal pin for the fuse block end, also a lug for the ground. You need to get at the back of the fuse block connectors in order to insert the terminal pin and locate the correct location. Service manual highly recommended ( or someone who has done it).

Buy the kit from litewarehouse as mentioned with the PIAA's and the mounting brackets. Get the bolts and clips to mount the braket to the existing holes on the car. Then get the replacement switch for the dash. It replaces the trunk button with a switch for the foglights and a switch for the trunk. You'll then have everything you need to have foglights that will look good and be functional as well.
