Default Dropping Her Down

I am thinking about lowering the vette. I am not sure how low I want to go and if I'm going to get new wheels. Can everyone post a picture, list their height, and how you got there? Thank You.

I would start by lowering on stock bolts first, you should be able to get 3/4" or a little more. If want to drop it a little more you'll have to have longer rear bolts and cut the bushings in the front.

I would agree with ya Grond but how the hell can you drive that anywhere? Chin spoiler is on the ground already! Looks $$$$ though.

I dropped mine on stock stuff and got a bit over 3/4" all the way around on an 01 z06. Take measurements before you start and after at least a day or two and/or a hundred miles +. I noticed some additional settling after a 100 mile trip that the first day did not get me. YMMV

Lost my passenger side wheel liner on the Cross Bronx expressway at 65mph. No big deal.

Front bolts removed, longer rears. 19/20 fill up the wheel wells.
I suggest A&A frame protecters, and front rollers too! Limbo low mohn!

Damn that looks good.
My car is lowered with cut front bushings, rear lowering kit, bilstiens, and a whole 2 1/2'' of ground clearince (not including the front air dam). Absoultly no scrapes on the bumper. Hears a tip for the rockers if you don't feel like buying skid plates-At the autoparts store they sell universal rubber/plastic trim to put on doors and bumpers ect. To prevent door dings. its about 1'' wide and 1/4'' thick black trim. I stuck it to the underside of my rockers and fuel tank sheilds. now if I bottom out on speed bumps, thats the only part that hits.

Just did mine about a month ago. Lowered on stock bolts with stock C5 size tires. I wouldn't want to go much lower. I can barely get it in the driveway now. But, it does look much better.

i tried lowes and home depot like everyone said but no luck. i ended up ordering them from west coast corvette for about $50. if anyone can send me their email i can email you pics of my car and you can post them
