Default Oil In throttle Body

I'm a newbe here so don't flame too much. Yesterday I was replacing the stock Air box lid and Air bridge with a Z06 one (I painted the emblem on the air bridge so that's why it got changed).

When I got the air bridge off, there was about 1 teaspoon of oil on the bottom of the Throttle body.

Car is an 2003 and only has about 6700 miles on it and is not abused.

Any idea where this is coming from and how to stop it?

In the throttle body itself?

The oil in the intake is a known issue. When I installed my ported TB I found a lake behind the TB in the intake manifold. I have since installed a AMW catch can, which attached to the PCV line, to help control the oil. The PVC line is likely the source of the oil, and is very common on these motors.

Yep in the front of the throttle body. I did have it nose down on a slope which the oil behind may have drained to the front.

I have read that the 03's had LS6 PCV system and heads so not sure the catch can will resolve everything. Hopefully the guru's here know what is going on.

This is a common thing on just about all new cars/trucks built today. I wouldn't worry too much about it. (forced induction engines seem to have this more than n/a engines).

Do your own catch can for 1/10 the cost of an AMW can.

Mine is an 04 and my catch can traps plenty of oil!!!

I have also noticed that there is oil in the hose going from valve cover vent to air bridge (I have Fast/LS2 TB)....yours goes to TB. Might want to get the catch can and check the other line too.......I'm going to put some sort of filter in that line.
