will a throttle body motor swap out from one to another. i plan to purchase a tb without a motor for port work. will i have any problems using my own motor on this new ported tb.

You shouldn't. What year is the TB from and what year is your car?

I think they are all the same but don't quote me on that. I know you have to have a special torx bit to get the screws out.

I'm not sure what the part # is but you can buy it at any hardware store. It looks like a regular torx but it has a hole in the center of it. The screws have a little stud in the center of the screw so you can't use a regular torx. I bought mine at our local hardware store. It wasn't high priced. If you look at the screws you will see what I'm talking about.
