I was having issues with the stock wires about 1-2 years ago (getting a misfire in one of the cylinders due to the faulty wire) & replaced them with the MSD 8.5s...no probs to this day.

Just bought Taylor Thunder Volt 10.4MM from Thunder Racing. They go on tomorrow. No issues with OEM, just want to make sure I am striaght with my HC swap next week. I was going with the MSD, as they come in red but these where bigger and size does count!

I've had them on my Avalanche for 3 years now. They seemed to smooth out the idle a little and give better throttle response.

I know, they shouldn't, but I'm not the only one who said the same thing!

I have the MSD 8.5 on my 2002. Got them at AutoZone.com for a great price.

If they have any negative.... they seemed to be a little on the short (length) side.

But I haven't had a problem in the one year I've had them on.

I had a universal kit that I put on my V6 camaro that I loved. Since I cut my own, I was sure that every wire was long enough. I would have went back with those for the Vette but I chose the Thundervolts because of their heat resistance. I even have a wire that I noticed was laying on the header and it was un-harmed.

Pure junk! The clips on the ends are horribleand you can't tell if they are on or not. Boot near header exploded near header with a koolsox on it. Lawnmower wires have better ends. I had the stock wires for 55,000 miles with no problems. Then went to MSD and they always popped off at track events then I couldn't get them back on JUNK. I got some good wires from LGM no more problems. If I can find the wire I'll post a picture.

No problem at all. But get the kool sox if your have headers. The wires can break down over time from the high heat.

I've had mine for nearly two years... no problems... I re-used the stock aluminum shields just in case...

The previous owner of my car put them on and I've had no problems with them in the 27k I've added to the car. I've even done 3 plug changes so far too, and have had no problems removing and reinstalling the plug wires each time.
