S&W Race cars 10pt. cage kit for a C5 coupe. Seems like a really good deal. Anybody have one installed? Part#11-1522TD $249.00

I have a Wolfe Chromoly... love it. But mine is a bolt in.

That looks like a great deal for a kit, if it is a kit.. I have to agree though, the steel seems like it would cost a lot more than that.

I have a SCCA legal Auto Power 4 pt bolt in with vertical cross brace and harness bar. Looks and works great for Solo 1 and other high speed time trials.

http://www.swracecars.com/ check it out. They always have a page in Car Craft and Hot Rod. Im thinking they just move a lot of kits and can afford to be that low. So you all agree its a deal? I could not begin to build one for twice that price.

Anyone know how this compares to the Wolfe which is 4-5 times the price?

You realize this is a true "kit"? . . . Meaning it's just the metal pieces that are pre-cut and pre-notched. It's not something you just unpack and bolt to your car (at least I don't think so - call and check with them). You'll probably need to fit and weld the assembly together, and make sure you have all pieces positioned just right so as to fit the car properly. Then you'll need to powder coat it, or at least paint it. Even so, yeah, sounds like a great price!

I built my own rollbar for my C5 vert, and the layout, cutting and notching takes a LOT of time! Too bad they don't make a kit for the C5 vert.
