Reconsidering. Borla cat back . vs headers
I like the Borla Stinger system sounds great. $795 installed. Maybe 5hp at the wheels. How much am I looking at with used long tube headers hooked up to the stock exhaust. I know I'm looking at more money. but more power also. What are the labor costs. I know the borla sounds good but if I spend a little more on the headers, I'm thinkin lots more power 20- 25rwhp vs 5rwhp if that. Thoughts? Opinions? Tight Budget for me.

Ur not really going to get any power difference with just the stingers. If you're doing that mod, consider it only for the sound. Now, a set of used quality headers with high flo cats and xpipe, will help you out now and are neccessary if you plan any other mods. You can lay your hands on all those pipes used for around $1000. Or you could buy a new set for $1400- $2000. Might consider LGs new street series for the price he is offering and satisfaction of knowing its a new set. Labor cost for install is usually around $300-$500. Sometimes you can package that with a dyno tune for another couple of hundred. However, a dyno tune isnt nesessary with the header install, but will help you realize your full potential. With my header setup and stingers before tune, I was at 328hp/tq. Ls1edit added another 20.
