If you want to lock out 4th gear (Overdrive) - i.e. not shift into 4th gear (A4) just put your shifter in 3rd. It will never shift into 4th (Overdrive) from 3rd gear.
If you are talking about a MN6/MN12 I really have no clue what you mean.

I guess I thought it was like my Dodge Ram where you have an overdrive lock-out button. But, if 4th is overdrive in the Vette and 3rd is direct, I know what to do.
