Default Emergency flasher question.

My turn signals have acted up a few times and HVAC display has been going out also. I could tap on the display and it would come on. But this last week it quit working all together. SO, I decided since I’m off today I might as well take to the dealer to get it replaced, but wouldn’t you know it the stupid display was working but dim when I turned on the key! By the way, my car is still under warranty.
My question is how do you get to the Hazard flasher? I know they will have to remove the console to get to the HVAC display but is that how to get to the flasher?
They had to order the parts so it will be next week before they can get too it.
Thanks

You need to remove the IP upper trim pad and the air distribution duct and the center air outlet from the IP upper trip pad to get access to the Hazard warning switch. More complex than the hvac.

Thanks, I was just wondering how they were going to get to it.
Again, thanks.

You can get to the flasher from the front by removing the console cover plate that extends over the heater and radio units. (See Tech Tips for changing the flasher.) Two screws from each unit can be removed to drop these down allowing you to access the radio hole. Note, you may have to pry these from the aluminum framework as they were slightly "stuck", but you do not have to disconnect the electricl connections. The hard part of this method is putting the new flasher back into position with its wires connected. If you have short stubby fingers and a thick wrist, this method is not for you.
