That's a long ride, it's probably your stomach ...only kidding.
I've heard that too especially if I've had the A/C on when I shut the car off. If I'm not using it sounds are gone.
Also, check your coolant level and pop the radiator cap to be sure that your radiator is full. If the line between the coolant reservoir and the radiator becomes kinked or blocked coolant will not return properly giving you a low coolant condition.
If you had the AC, Defrost or heat with the AC on, it could be water/condensation build up inside the air box where the fan is located. There is a drain on the outside of the fire wall that is suppose to let the condensation drain out but it frequently gets clogged. The crimped end is what cloggs.
Sometimes the water backs up and drains into the passengers foot well. This causes the the BCM to get wet and all hell breaks loose with you electrical system!
Here is a pic of the drain.
Here is where it is on the passengers fire wall:
The flashlight beam is highlighting the area where it is located. It is a pain to get to from the top!!!
i was driving it around and all of a sudden it says im outta gas and the gauges get all outta wacked, and the gurgling sound again, i go fill up the tank it took 37 bucks which tells me it was no where near empty, but the guages still say empty, turn her off then on and everything is back to normal?? i dont know wahts up, is this an easy fix for a dealer?
Yep~~!!! Your BCM got wet!! Those are some of the symptoms! You need to remove the toe board in the passengers foot well and check that area for water and or dampness. Check the jute underlayment for dampness. Funny thing,, the water always seems to run under the carpet and underlayment and collect in an area under the seat.
This is the BCM!
If your BCM gets wet too many times, it will be permentantly damaged. If your lucky, it will dry out and that will be the end of the problem once you fix the drain.
Its a rubber fitting. Remove it and snip off the crimped portion of the fitting. It best to access it from under the car. If you have headers, you will need to some how access it from the top!
