Default ET Performance Heads

I have a 99 A4. Current mods are Vigilante 3600 TC, Kooks headers, hiflow cats, Z06 exhaust, LS6 intake, Vararam and a 224/228 595/601 114LSA cam. I am also running 3.15 gears. My best time in very good air is a 11.70 @ 114.3 mph with a 1.60 60 foot on drag radials. This 60 foot only happened once. I am generally between 1.65-1.70. In average air I run 11.90's-12.0's and in crappy air 12.2's. My car also dynoed at 366 rwhp. I am thinking of having a set of 215 cc ETP heads installed and retaining the current cam. How much rwhp do you think I will gain and how much ET will I gain? I don't want to install a roll bar and I am worried that I may be going too fast. It is ok if I occasionally dip below 11.50 in very good air, but for the most part I want to run slower than 11.50. What do you guys think? Any other head suggestions. BTW the Vette Doctors will be doing the install so the car will have a good tune. Thanks!

i really think theres some more horse power to be found in your set up i maybe wrong, but i am running the exact setup ,only the gears i have is a 3.42 gear ,& a yank ss 3600 stall on a STOCK cam shaft ,& i am running patriot stage 2 heads, my A4 dynoed @ 360 rwhp & 360 ftlbs of tq to the tires, with a big cam i will be in the 400 range i think the heads your are thinking of installing are good choice i would have the car Re tuned once u installed the heads it would be safe to say u will gain 30 to 50 to the tires IMho have a good day when u do this keep me updated i am getting rdy to install a 233/239 600/605 on a 113 lsa the company has told me between 40 to 50 rwhp with that cam & the crank pulley have a good day o btw u could put a 150 shot in that car after the head install & wave bye bye to alot of street cars i woud say u would anilhlate the new Zo6 in the quarter mile on the 150 shot ,If u can get the car to hook

This may help you a little.

Before.
220/224 581 114 cam
Kooks headers
ls6 intake
3.42 gears.

After
AFR 205 heads
Ported TB
3.90 gears.

You might get about 15 more rwhp then me. Bigger cam and better flowing heads you would have.

This is on my '05 C6 Z-51 4L65E:

Just finished the install of ETP 215 58cc heads, Comp 224/228 .581/.588 114 +1, FAST intake and Yank SS3200 converter. LG Pro Longtubes, Corsa's and Halltech Stinger were already installed.

444 RWHP and 414 RWT tuned by Jeremy Formato.(The 360/360 was with the headers, halltech and tune only.)

Default The Best Heads

THE IDEA is to use the best parts
Go fast parts cost money ,but reliability and power puts a smile on your face.

I would say get the car going fast ,don't worry about the roll bar YET!
I would get the 225 ETP Heads with my set up, and I have an A4 with a smaller cam . 224 /220 581 /566 112 /112 +0 advance
I am now running 5.3 heads .
My best is 11.61 119 1.61 60 (Roll Bar soon)
I figure the car would run low 11's with the new ETP-Performance heads and 10's with a solid roller.
The Gears and drivetrain would be the weak link for me.
Rodney (RPM Transmission ) has built me a A4 transmission from hell ,that is no longer a problem.
USE THE GOOD STUFF.
Have fun
John Sr.

If you're looking for only a slight gain, I'd look elsewhere.
