1998 computer Help

I have a 1998 and I want to purchase a SLP performance kit but they say I can't program the 98 comuter becouse it will not accept the programing any suggestions

I was told the same thing on my 97 but I got a superchips for mine. They have to have your VIN and then they program it for your car and your car only. Superchips didn't even list it but I called them and they fixed me right up.

Get someone to use LS1edit or HP tuners on your PCM instead.

With the limited amount of handhelds for 97-98's Ispent the $$$ for hptuners and learned how to do most of the basics myself. When I need help, I just let the tuner use my laptop and tuning software for what I need done. It works out good.
