Default Throttle Position Sensor - Installation ?

Question:

Is there any necessary adjustments to be made when installing a new Throttle Position Sensor -- or is it just bolt in and go??

Thanks for your input.

On the C5 it's just a bolt on with no adjustment, it's different for the F body with the throttle cable though.

Throttle Position (TP) Sensor Replacement
Removal Procedure

Disconnect the TP sensor electrical connector.

Remove the TP sensor attaching screws.
Remove the TP sensor.

Notice
The TP sensor is an electrical component. Do not soak the TP sensor in any liquid cleaner or solvent, as damage may result.

Installation Procedure

Install the TP sensor on the throttle body with the throttle valve in the closed position. Make sure the TP sensor lever lines up with the TP sensor drive lever on the throttle shaft.

Notice
Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

Install the TP sensor attaching screws. Tighten
Tighten the TP sensor attaching screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

Connect the TP sensor electrical connector.

You'll need safety torx, looks like a torx but has a hole in the center.

Sears sells them, it'll take you a minute once you get the tool. The new TPS should have come with new torx.
