Default Window Indexing

Anyone suppose it's possible to auto-index the side windows like the C6? I sent an email to the folks who make the Window Valet, but have not received a response.

Has anyone else ever looked into this?

Thanks.

The window glass drops a quarter of an inch after the door handle is pulled to open the door. Window stays dropped until door is closed. Improves ease of closing door.

The C6 side window design (both '05 & '06) calls for the window to go up into a "slot", which makes for a much better seal and greatly reduces (or even eliminates) the windows "blowing out", especially at higher speeds. Eliminates wind noise.

In order for the two doors and the glass to operate properly the windows must drop down about one half to 3/4" before opening and raise back up after closing. Thats "window indexing"

If the window is all the way up to begin with, when you open the door on a C6 the window automatically drops about a half to 3/4 inch the instant you hit the door latch.

When you exit the car and close close the door, the window goes up about 2 seconds after the door is closed, into the slot to complete the seal.

Particularly handy on verts as it prevents the glass from catching at the corner of the convertable top and fraying it in that area, during opening and closing. And it makes the doors easier to shut by trapping less air inside.

I just received a reply from the company who makes the Window Valet. It can't be done on the C5 since there is no position sensor for the side windows.
