Len-

Perhaps a wheel sensor was disconnected when you had the tires changed??

Readout the codes from the DIC (you can search the forum for how to do this) and see what the computer thinks is going on.

Good luck,

Default What do have?

What tires do you have on the front and back?
Tell me make, model and size of all of them. Maybe I can figure out your problem. Had the same problem and know what to look for.

Rear tires are dunlop sport, sizes are all factory spec.,,the front are michelin ps2 .The car is a 99 with 25000 miles. It was not a problem until the tire change.I pulled them off the car myself so no punk at discount tire had a chance to touch my stuff.

The tire change may have been enough to do it.

The fronts and rears are different sizes, and the tcs knows about how fast the fronts spin and the rears spin during normal operation. When the rears are spinning faster than normal compared to the fronts, it thinks you are losing traction spinning the rears, and tcs activates.

There is some tolerance because tires wear at different rates, etc. But keeping old rubber on the rear while putting new rubber on the front may have pushed the spin rate difference over the edge.

Sometimes when people put odd combos of front/rear tire sizes on, it will always keep tcs on.
