Default about the nito drag radials

Can those tires handle over 150 mph speeds even though they are rated to only 149 mph? Anyone have them on their car( preferably rear) how is your traction and handling compared to the EMT's? Has anyone run them at the racetrack?(course, not drag strip, I know they stick well there) Do the nitto rII's stick as well as the drag radials? I am contemplating tires for my c5 and will be seeing roadrace days next year, thanks

I'm sure that they stick better than the Rf's. I replaced a set of nitto 555R's with the DR's but I have not raced or been to the track with them. I have spun them with 30 PSI in regular street driving though. They probably need heat to work better.

EMT traction is a joke, do not even compare to R compound tires. The DRs are not reccomended for sustained high speed. Their soft sidewall will not be ideal for a road race situation, so if you plan to road race and not drag get the RIIs, same tread compound just with a stiffer sidewall.

so the RII's stick like the drags but corner better because of the sticker sidewall....how are they cold? Do they take along tiime to warm up? Also how much better are they compared to regular nitto 555 extreme radials? If anyone has experience with this, please answer. Thanks for the feedback my choice is either of those two.

They stick like drags, but traction is not quite as good due to harder sidewall and no flex. On a road course this is better, but for the drags from a stop it will not be as good. Depends what you plan to use them for. RIIs will also ride harsher than the drags on the street due to the sidewall.
