I'm just about ready to order my headers from LG for my LS1 02 6sp. I'm confused on what ones to order and what is the difference between the two.The two in question are the LG street Series and the LG Pro longtube. I live in New York State so emission laws play a roll.I don't race the car and it's for street use only but I would like to get as much HP as I can for the money. Thanks in advance.

The LG Pro series is actually made by BORLA...it incorporates a specially designed "Merge Collector" that they claim provides 5HP over other Long Tubes (including the Street series) also the X-pipe on the pro series is not stamped as it is in the street series...I believe the pro series is all 3" including the x-pipe...street series is not.
If you are concerned about emissions and they do a sniff test...I don't think you are going to pass with any long tube design...cats or not...but if they use a code scanner and your ECM is happy...you should pass no problems...
I was looking at the street series myself (before I bought Kooks) but the street series is\was not available for a while...and well, I can't wait!

Save some money and order the Street Series w/high flow cats. They should be doing the ODBII scanner emissions test, so as long as everything is tuned properly, you will pass. The only reason you wouldn't pass would be on the visual (Since all headers are technically illegal as they replace the OEM and/or move them) or the car isn't tuned properly and the check-engine light goes on.
