C6 / C5 Shift mechanism

C6 / C5 Shift mechanism
Guys is there much to the shift mechanism removal/install? I just got a C6 shifter with the shift mechanism. This seems to be more assmbly then the Hurst I put it. With the Hurst I put the shifter base in but the shift mechanism below remained the same. Is it basically 2 bolts and a retaining screw for the mechanism and just put it in the way I take out or is there some other step/procedure to follow?

do a search on here thats where I found the information.
It's easy. Remove the 3? torx bolts.
Basically remove and replace. It took me longer to pull the consel off then to replace the shifter. Just a word of advise, put a piece of tape around the shift rod to hold it up.
