Default Intake manifold gasket question?

I have to move the i/m forward a few inches to get to some fittings near the firewall. Service manual says to replace the i/m gasket, is it really necessary? I don't mind spending $25 on the new one, but wanted to get opinions first.

Thanks

I would replace them since I did the same thing before and did not feel like replacing them since they will go back to the same old place but the car's acting after that so I finally replacing them.
If you just replace them couple months then you don't need to.
Just my $0.02.

Just did it. No need to replace if you're careful.

Also, be sure to vacuum and/or clean really well all around the edges of the manifold before lifting off or moving. Lots of nooks and crannies that hold a lot of dirt, etc and that stuff is directly over your intake ports when the manifold is moved. HTH
