I like the Taylor wires the best. They seem to be the best mix between low resistance without causing RFI and they last longer that all the other wires I have tried. Granted that most of that experience comes from non-LS1 motors, but the same is holding true so far for the LS1!
I have always preferred Taylor. I just received their Ultimate wire and it is quite nice. It is very strong, respectably heat resistant, and the resistance is ~28 Ohms versus 300-340 Ohms stock.
I have had slight radio interference with taylors after they wear in.
I would look hard at magnecor. I have them on now and love them.
They use 200 windings per inch, and dont use resistive enhancing coatings like others.
Do NOT buy spark plug wires based on low resistance values only, because when testing with a voltohm meter you are not testing how a conductor reacts when firing 30,000+ volts down it. There are things to consider like skin effect etc.
By the way, Magnecor use the factory plug end. Nice tight fit and wont rip the wire out of the boot if you need to pull them off. I have torn up several taylors and others being as careful as possible, even when i've applied silicon greese before installing.
I am referring to the Taylor "Ultimate Performance" wire.
Does anyone have an impedance analyzer? Resistance is not the only factor in the equasion, but it is a significant measurable indicator.
I would hope that no one would expect any performance increase on an LS1. I purchased them for superior quality. Stock wires were quite loose on the coil end and often excessively tight on the plug end.
