hope I'm not to late. I've done this numerous times by loosening the support bolt on the left head(short box wrench works, 15 mm)then go to the right manifold and remove the two 10mm bolts, remove the rubber hose near the check valve and take the whole pipe out. Most likely you'll need heat anyway to remove the valve from the pipe. Use a vacuum cleaner to suck up the debri while scraping , then just use a rag to clean up. Put new seals on the intake while your there, and maybe a new oil pressure sensor!!!!
NEVER LEAVE BOLTS ON/NEAR THE COWL WHEN THE MOTOR IS OPEN!! (yes, the caps were needed, this is a standard deal in any aircraft/automotive enviroment)
the air pipe bracket on the back of the dr. side head only requires you to loosen the 13mm bolt
the wire harness will not be removed
placing the AIR tube hex in a vice when removing the ck valve makes life easier
this is the pass side AIR tube removed
1/4" drive ratchet w/ 13mm socket

I just went thru this too and I unbolted the hose from the manifold so it was moveable to where I could get a wrench on the male fitting of the pipe and I used a 1" deep socket over the hose end of the air check valve to break it loose. Stupid design, definately replace that oil pressure switch in there while you have it apart.
