In the midst? You've already started and aren't sure what to do?
Tips n tricks:
Put the car up on a lift
Remove the front wheels
Drop the steering rack
Most likely drain the radiator and remove it
Slide the condensor aside
Get a torque wrench, air compressor and 6 foot breaker bar
Get a pulley remover
Remove the pulley
Reverse the process to install the stocker
What a breeze huh!!!!
There is no way I would do that much work to remove a pulley.

If I remember you are running the SLP. I think you need to use a different puller, but am not sure. Are there threaded holes in the hub section? I would be careful before slapping on a 3 jaw puller, not sure it will take the force that will be required for removal.

I am using the ASP, Bob I got it off no worries - I just had the wrong puller for the application. I had a puller for the stock pulley - I bought a threaded puller and it worked like a charm.
And to answer the question some have asked - I have done this before and was investigating a noise I was getting from my cam/pulley area. Turns out to be a stretched chain (bought new - but oh well)
Car is going back together in a few days when the new LS2 chain arrives.

Is this the "old" motor? If not, have you considered the Katech (JWIS) timing chain?
Any idea why it stretched or how much? You are the first I have heard of that has had an issue with the LS2 chain. Also, is your block drilled for the timing chain damper? I installed one in mine while it was apart

Bob, it is my "old" LS1 engine that I installed the big cam in July. Regarding the timing chain damper - no, I do not have one but I am putting one on my new LS2. I ordered a new LS2 timing chain from the stealership - I have no idea why it stretched (if it did indeed stretch). We cannot locate a 'smoking'gun' for the loud noise that is made on cold start only.
Are you adding an underdrive pulley w/ your blower setup?
I had a h/c package (w/ an ASP underdrive pulley) and then added a P1.....only made 3.5 to 4 lbs of boost and actually lost hp vs. NA. I thought that I would just get a different pulley, but that wouldn't work.
Not sure if you are about to make the same moves I did about 6-8 months ago......

I'm going back to the stock pulley when I get the new LS2. The ASP undersrive pulley is being sold with my current LS1.
