I just learned how to check the C5's codes (why, yes, I would like a cookie ), and I got the "NO COMM" code for the RTD, HVAC, and SCM systems. I've gathered that the code trips if there's no communication between the systems, but what could cause that, and is it cause for concern? My car is a 97 A4 coupe.
I don't know if there are any individual codes for those systems or not, so I can't tell if they're current or history codes.
In the sequence wherein the DIC tells how many codes are tripped for each system (i.e. "PCM (1 CODE)"), it shows RDM and (after a short pause) "NO COMM."
