I bought my motor from a guy that works at a performance shop here in Austin with the agreement that we'd get together and tune it soon after the swap. It's been a while and for one reason or another we haven't been able to meet up. Lately I've feel like I've been getting the brush off. It's nothing against the guy, but inspection time is overdue and it won't pass inspection until it gets tuned (check engine light).
I'm looking for a tuner in Texas. I'm gonna be heading up north near Lubbock next week and also towards San Antonio. Are there any reputable tuners out that way? I know of several near or in Houston, but don't want to travel that way if I don't have to.
Please don't reccomend a tuner that you've just "heard" about. I'd appreciate being referred to someone that you have first hand experience with or have seen their results. They will need to have the capability to tune a 1999 C5 Coupe with a LS1 383ci engine. TIA

I've been happy with MTI in Houston. Bought most of my parts there and had them tune the car.
Car dyno'd 486.24 rwhp and 457.68 lb-tq with 5* knock retard on some 109 fuel. We put 2 gal of 109 in for 6 gal of pump fuel.
Let me say that I am extremely impressed with Corey and Josh. I will be taking my car there from now on, no questions asked.
I'm thinking with a colder set of spark plugs and a new pulley will solve that knock problem and then we'll be just a tad closer to that 500 mark.
With a 90/90 setup I'm sure we'll surpass it.
Those are some real good numbers and with the new pulley and the know fixed you should hit your goal. I told you Corey was the man in our area he took his time with my car and I got gobs more power than I expect on his tune
I'm going back to a stock pulley. My ASP underdrive pulley will be for sale soon. I'm not sure how much you'll get from it, but for my purposes a stock pulley will work better.
