Something Missing?
I have a 2000 Coupe with the "Active Handling" option. As I understand it, there is a LATERAL ACCELEROMETER sensor located under the front left of the Passenger seat. So I had the seat out today installing my new Lumbar Bladders and Controls 
that I got from Fred Beans Chevy, and I decided to pull up the carpet to get a peek at it. As you can see in the picture below, all that's there is a big blob of grey sealer. 
Part of my motivation was two "loose" wires I found while I had the console out for a shifter boot replacement. 
If anyone has had their carpet out, please give me a holler. Thanks for the help.

Definately looks like JB Weld. think that somebody took the lateral acceloratometerthing out?

Thanks guys. I was thinking along similar lines. I just don't understand why its not throwing codes with this missing?????? I'll have to pull the console cover plate today to see if the Yaw sensor is missing also.
