One of my buddies was in for the holidays so I took him out for a spirited ride yesterday afternoon. Well 3 minutes into the drive I shifted hard into 4th (around 6000rpm) and the clutch slipped a little... I slowed down and went to shift into 5th just to cruise and the clutch basically stuck to the floor (it will come up 2 inches). I basically limped it home with my tail between my legs... It's really hard to get it into gear but the clutch still fully engages (no slipping with the pedal 2 inches up) and disengages when it is pushed to the floor. The car has 7,500 miles on it and is an '04. I have a hurst shifter on it and that is the only drivetrain mod I have installed. Any ideas how to fix this or is my baby going to the dreaded dealer ... Thanks in advance!
spring?? slave/ master cylinder leaking?? 04 with 7500 miles can you say WARRANTY??
There are TSB's regarding the sticky and intermittant C5 clutch pedal. Therefore, since you are still under warranty (you are very fortunate), get your C5 self to a competent dealership, and, get this issue resolved. And, you will soon be good to go. Good luck.

Get the baby to the stealership for the warranty work and pay the extra to install a new Z07 clutch.
Thanks guys, I was fed up with it and decided to put my foot behind the pedal and pull up... With just the slightest touch... POP, came up. The fluids were ok so I think it might be a bushing or something with the pedal mechanism...
At least I can drive it to the dealer... I'm going to have my tech check it out anyway, thanks for the responses!
