Rear End Noise
I have a 99 with an Autotrans that has 94k on it. I had an accident where I was pushed up over a curb sideways and the rims were ripped. I have had it back for about 2 months.
After I got the car back I noticed a noise and had it checked and was told it was tire noise. I have read some of the threads on rear hub/bearings being bad after an accident. I had someone look at it today and was told it is something in the Trans or the rear end. When I run the car I notice the noise at about 15mph and up. I tried the car in reverse and didn't here the howling as I do in drive. I jacked up the car and didn’t feel any wobble in either wheel, but did here a noise as I rotated the tire in the forward direction. When I rotate them backwards I don’t here the noise. I haven't been in the Dallas area very long and was wondering if anyone would recommend someone to help diagnose and/or repair. I live in the Wylie area and work in Addison.
