PAGING C5TECH OR C4C5SPECIALIST
Hello,
Thank you for all your great information in the past. I need to remove my intake manifold ASAP. I am sending it to CARTEK to have it ported. My car is a 99 but it has the new style intake manifold on it now. I have never removed the intake and I am worried about messing something up. I have been told by numerous forum members how easy this job is, with most saying it is a 30 min job.
Here are my concerns: 1. I don't have the 99 service manuals (they are on order) 2. I need to get this off today or tomorrow at the latest to ship it and get it back in time for BG at labor day 3. Can you please email me at tonycobe@yahoo.com the appropriate service manual pages OR 4. Just give me a brief typed list (I am not real mechanically gifted but I can do my brakes) so the more specific the better, do I have to worry about coolant, I already have the air intake, cobra thingy, rubber accordian piece and MAF off, what now, I am worried about the fuel line and the injectors, help. THANKYOU

Removing the intake is as straight foward as it looks.Disconnect the injector connectors,un bolt the fuel rail and swing it out of the way.No need to disconnect the fuel lines.Coolant does not run through the C-5 intake,so no need to worry about a mess.Remove the other electrical connectors,unbolt the intake,and you are done...
