Default AC Questions

I have a 98 coupe and just recently noticed that the AC does not work as well as my other cars.

Here is what I‘ve already looked at or done after searching the archives.

Outside temperature 60+ degrees
Checked refrigerant pressure with refill gauge and it shows good
Checked that the clutch is engaging and it is.
Compressor is a little noisier than other cars.
Line going to the accumulator is cold.
Line to the compressor is hot.
Pulled Codes for HVAC – None Found
Reset HVAC Codes – can hear something in the dash cycle when this is done.
Pulled the 3 fuses 2 in the floor panel 1 in the engine compartment panel.
Put fuses back and observed the unit go through its initialization process.
Set the AC control at 90 and get great heat
Set the AC control at 60 and get regular air
Passenger side can get a little colder when set to max cold but not significant

Using a 96 Eldorado as a frame of reference, when I set the controls at Max Hot and Max Cold, I get the expected response.

Tha cars are parked next to each other under the same conditions.

Is there anything else I should check/replace before giving up and “paying for knowledge” from the dealership or AC specialist?

Thanks in advance

No leaves in the condensor .

Don't have low and high side pressures. Using the cheap refill gauge as as reference. It say the pressure is good zone between 25 and 45 on the dryer side of the system where you refill it.

without knowing the pressures you will be chasing your a$$.your possible causes:overcharged system[too much juice is no good/also
makes for a noisey compressor]
moisture in system
bad orifice tube
bad compressor
blockage
etc.
without knowing your pressures you will just be guessing.a/c systems don't blow cold, they absorb heat.

Your diagnosis is right on the money. If you want to fix this your self, you will need to purchase a set of 134a compatable guages. You just guessing if you dont!

Found out the system was LOW on 134. Had it topped off and it now runs nice and cold. Did not have it leak tested. Will wait and see how this holds before we do anymore.
