Default Window Problem

I was wandering if anyone else has ever had this problem. When I tried to roll down the window on the passenger side it would not roll down. All I hear is a clicking noise when I try to roll it down. Then later on that day I rolled it down no problem. It just seemed to cut out for only a little while. Any info would be great

The relay on the door control module is most likely getting bad. More members have the same trouble with the door lock relays on the same module. Generally it will only get worse until it won't work at all. You'll need to clean the relay contacts, replace the relay or replace the entire module. Repalcing the module is a DIY job for many, cleaning or replacing requires some technical expertise.

I had trouble with the passenger window and it turned out to be the cable was jammed on the drum inside the motor mechanism. It was a little tricky, but it can be disassembled and correctly wound back onto the drum and then reassembled. I don't know if this is your problem, but it's possible. It's worked great ever since.

Here's a way to check to see if it's jammed or if it's an electric supply problem: try the jammed window at night with the headlights on and see if they dim when you try to move the window. If it's a mechanical problem, it should slightly dim the headlights and the ammeter will drop a bit also until you release the button because the motor is straining against the malfunction. If it's not getting juice for some reason, or the motor is completely fried, it shouldn't dim the lights.

if I need to change the relay, how do I take the panel off. I just dont want to start pulling away and break something. Are there any threads with pics to show you how to get it off?
