I searched and see people running a few differnt NGK plugs. I bought IRIDIUM IX PLUGS 7164 at $6.95 a pop but I see people running V-POWER PLUG 3951 which are only $1.80. Both are TR-55's, which is better? I am installing my LG Pro headers today so I have a few hours before I install the new plugs.
I've been looking into getting new plugs and have read the NGK Iridium are top notch. It's the iridium that makes them so expensive, but the metel is supposed be be superior to platnium for spark plugs in both performance and durabilty. I believe the iridium plugs from AC Delco are even more expensive than the NGK's. Where did you get them for $7 a plug? Best price I've found is from forum vendor LAPD at $64 for the set.
I've always run NGK TR-55's the copper ones. I just swapped mine before my tune and the ones I took out looked perfectly fine. I'm at 53k now... so I'll change them again in 20k or so.
