03 Z06 EBCM and Steering Sensor
Without even starting the car it sets these codes right after I reset them.......hhmmmmmmm
got a bunch of codes yesterday, all point to a bad Steering Sensor, but I'd like to check and clean all connections first before I replace it. Anyone know the locations of the referenced parts? Is the Steering sensor in front of or behind the firewall? Thanks in advance.

First, check the ground connections--it is a common problelm. Next, did you have suspension work done--if C1283 or C1286 came up, then an alignement could have moved the sensors past there limits and throw the code. Finally, check the ABS connections and make sure they are tight and make sure the battery is not past its prime--slight dip in voltage give weird codes.
The codes will give you a more precise area to look at, but these are some of the common problems

my last wheel alignment is around 2 years old. A friend also suggested my Euro tailight harness could be a problem, all the lights work right, but I need to clean the connections as well.
I can reset any single code, and they all reset and I hear a servo type noise in the steering column as the codes all come back (I have to scroll up one and then back and they are all there). My Optima battery is old, but it cranks the car like it's new.
Anybody know were the EBCM is so I can check the connections? The Steering sensor location as well?
