Checking for Misfire or Knock
Is there any way to check for misfires or knocks if the car is not throwing any codes? The car seems to run fine but breaks up at about 5200rpm. You can't feel it when driving but it shows up on the dyno.
I changed plugs, wires, did a top end clean out, etc. Brought the car back to the dealer but they didn't find anything wrong.
Going back to the dyno for a tune but worried if there is something wrong that I haven't thought of. Bad Coil? Bad MAF? Don't want to pay for a tune and not be able to get it right because of some problem. Will the tuning software be able to identify or isolate a problem?
Are there any other check procedures I should do?
